Q:Why go With HID? What's the difference between HID and regular lights?
A:Take a look at this chart:

  Halogen 35 WH.I.D.
Bulb Wattage 12V 55W 12V 35W
Max Brightness 67,500 cd 202,500 cd
Lumen 1,500 lm 3,200 lm
Default Color Temp 4,300k 6,000K
Light Color Yellow Pure White
Life 400 Hours 2,000 Hours

HID is the bulb type. Xenon is the gas inside. The color produced by the bulb is rated in Kelvins. From 3000k up to 20000k. Goes from Yellow to Purple. 6000k is the default color and is Brilliant White with a slight Blue tint.

Q:Is the kit easy to install?
A:75% of all cars will be plug-n-play. These will be about 30 minutes of work. The other 25% will either require minor modification to the bulb housing which you can replace at very low cost in case you need to switch back, or you will need to run a power from your battery to the first ballast. These are about an hours worth of work.
Please make sure you know what you're doing before you injure yourself you will be working with live DC power that can MAME or even KILL you. Use all precautions and follow all documentation and safety guidelines.

Q:What tools do I need?
A:Phillips head screw driver is the only tool you need, obviously having more tools at hand will make the job easier, like a powered tool. duck tape holds the universe together but won't be necessary for this install. A very important tool for testing will be the ohm meter.

Q:My kit comes with a harness, do I really need to use it?
A:Some of the higher end kits that we will comes with a harness. Short Answer: No. Long answer: you should use it -- it just makes it easier (longer wires) and gives you a relay/fuse to protect against high voltage and feedback.
Here is a technical quote: "Imagine that we connect the HID ballast directly to where the low beam halogen bulb is connected. Some vehicles might be are able to power up HID systems normally without problems at install time. Most probably, it will not last long. The inrush load can be up to max 13 amps per ballast, compared to 7amps inrush when using halogen. The factory design parameter for headlight circuit is 7 amps inrush and 4.5 amps continuous load. So over time, connectors, multifunction switch, headlight switch, wiring and fuse holders will slowly degrade, because of heat buildup. These components are very time consuming to troubleshoot because they are usually well hidden behind dashboards and other wiring looms. Parts easily reach several hundred dollars. Add labor to that and it becomes obvious that a wiring harness is a cheap insurance.
During normal HID operation, you use only 42 watts (35W to run the bulb plus 7W in heat losses in ballast) instead of the 55 watts that the halogen bulb uses, which is less, but, during HID cold startup, and for the first several seconds during warm-up, the HID system can draw up to triple the normal operating power to run the ignition circuit during that time. As the bulb warms up, the current draw tapers down to the normal running level. By powering the ballast through a relay straight from the battery to HID ballast, the heavy load is removed from stock headlight circuit. Triggering the relay only requires 0.1 amps, so stock headlamp circuit has no problem powering that. A relay is just a remotely mounted heavy duty switch, and the trigger power that goes to it just draws a small amount of current through the headlight switch to run an electromagnet that mechanically closes the contacts inside the relay which in turn hooks battery power strait to HID ballast power terminal. This insures that you won’t ever overdrive the ratings of your vehicle's harness."

Q:Does HID run hot? Do I need to worry about my housing?
A:No, in fact 35W HID bulb run relatively cooler than their Halogen counterparts. Our lights are true HID bulbs, draw less power and produce less heat.

There are instances that the HID bulb is longer than Halogen bulb you were using. In these cases specially on motorcycles you need to make sure that there is at least 1/8" clearance between the bulb and the front of the housing. If this is the case, it may seem like the bulb is running hotter, but it isn't.

NOTE: Make sure your bulb does not touch the housing, this could damage both parts.

If you do have an instance where the bulb is coming closer than 1/8" please contact support so that they can work with you on resolving this issue.

Q:Having issues with the bulb flashing when using the stock harness?
A:In some of the newer US built vehicles (example: Dodge Durango) made in the last couple of years, Dodge decided not to provide the full power to the headlight socket. This will cause the ballasts to consistantly switch on and off.
Although this is a known problem it depends on the type of power system that is included with your car, (day time running lights, etc) we can not gurantee that the stock kit will work for you. If you do end up with this problem the test is simple. Use a direct battery feed to the ballasts to see if the ballast/bulb ignite. If they do that the problem is the power distribution system. The fix for this is to order a special harness that will provide a constant power feed to the ballasts. Please contact technical support if you do find yourself in this situation.

Q:Are the colors of the housings exact?
A:As of recently (June 2009) the manufacturer of our lights has changed the outter housing's color. We cannot gurantee that the color of the housing will match.

Q:Why do you sell primarily 6000K lights? I want a different color.
A:We do sell other color temperatures. If you like another color please tell us. Just in case you didn't realize it the 6000K is the only true HID color you can get. All of the other colors are either altered best case with additional gasses in the HID bulb or worse case by using a glass or filter glass for fake-HID lights. For more information you should read our posting on the subject.

Q:What is considered a fake HID light?
A:There are various fake HID bulbs:
  1. If it doesn't come with a ballast and starter, its not HID. The blue bulbs you see in the store sitting on the shelf for $29.99 for example. These are halogens that have a blue tint against them, they'll just just as quickly.
  2. 100 Watts of light -- or similar slogans. HID uses less power not more. These lights will burn out twice as fast as normal halogens and you'll need to replace them.
  3. If you can buy an entire kit for less than $100, than its either fake, stolen or comes with no warranty. Is it worth a $100 gamble that there is nothing wrong with it for the next year?

Q:Is my credit card safe?
A:100% Safe. There are multiple steps that will make sure it stays safe.
  1. We use a high encryption key from Yahoo SSL key to encrypt all communications during the check out process. Even if someone was watching all they would see if garbage.
  2. We never store your credit card information in any form. No human actually gets to see your credit card numbers, its all done electronically as soon as you place the order. At times we may ask for this information to issue rebates or refunds but this is a rare occasion and only authorized and trusted individuals inside of our organization may see this information temporarily.

Q:What is your return policy?
A:Return policy:

Q:Warranty Returns and Repair
A:Please note that as of January 1st, 2009 all warranty work require a valid credit card on file. If the unit has indeed failed, all charges are waived, however -- if we find no fault with the units returned a bench charge of $50 and return shipping charges will be assessed to your credit card. The shipping charges are UPS Ground from our support offices (New Jersey/New York) to you. You can use the UPS Shipping calculator for the standard shipping costs.

Q:How does the price guarantee work?
A:BEFORE you place your order, please contact us with the name, site, phone number, item number of where you found the deal. We will beat or match their price on the spot. Please see our conditions for any further information.

Q:Will this void my cars warranty?
A:The answer is a little complicated. Although the answer is the same no matter what modification you will do to your car. Some states do not allow car manufacturers to void out your entire warranty when you add OEM parts. For example, if you add your fog lights your car dealer should still honor your warranty on your brakes. Most likely you will void your electrical warranty if you are not an authorized installer. If you're outside of the warranty period than the question is mute. No matter what, the changes are not permanent. You can always swap out the bulbs with your original halogens if the case does arrise. Just keep a set in your glove box.

Q:What is the kit’s warranty?
A:Everything we sell (unless otherwise stated) will carry a one (1) year warranty. Any parts malfunctions or breaks down in the timeframe of the warranty period, send it back and we will replace it immediately! Buyer does take responsibility for the shipment of the parts back to us.

Q:Will you ship international?
A:Yes, we do ship international via UPS, DHL and TNT. You can get a rate quote from us for any order. Please contact us by email, or through the web site.

Q:Are HID fog lights legal?
A:Depends on your use and local laws. We don't recommend putting 5 HID Truck lights on your car or truck and drive them the around neighborhood but a set of standard foglights should not cause you issues with the authorities. Please take caution and check all local state laws before using these lights on the state and federal roads.
There are no laws that we know of that prevent you from using any light in off-road situations.
