What is an AMP Quick connector
To allow different product lines to connect to each other in a safe manor without using electrical tape and crimpers most industry users use some type of connector.
AMP® is a common product line that produces many different types of plugs and connectors. From CAT5 Network cable to RJ-11 Phone Connectors and even something called a quick connector for low voltage electrical systems.
All parts and kits that HIDFoglight.com sells. as well as most other vendors, use the AMP quick connector. All parts are interchangeable and can be replaced So you can buy a replacement bulb from us, a replacement ballast from someone else and they will still connect to each other without you having to splice the wires.
AMP Quick connectors are give you a water resistant protection. We have had many people ask us if the kits and equipment that we sell are water-proof. The answer is, we have no idea, we will never dunk electrical equipment in a tank of water to see if it would survive. Most likely it will but if you need to worry about your car or truck being submerged in water you have bigger problems than having HID lighting and having it survive (and btw, your engine would not since it isn't water proof.
